I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I was in the top 3% in my class, with a strong background in mathematics and science. I have tutored a variety of age groups, ranging from preteens to adults. I excel in tutoring English, social studies, mathematics, and science studies from the core level through the accelerated level. Along with this, I have experience preparing students for their ACT and SAT. When it comes to my tutoring style, I like to believe I am very inventive and innovative. Because each student understands and comprehends information in his/her own unique way, my teaching technique is customized for solely that person. I believe in commending students when they do well. This gives them an incentive to continue to progress. I also believe that no question is a stupid question. Asking questions is part of the learning process. I make sure to frequently keep in contact with the student's parents, allowing them to see the progression their child is making. There have been several times in my tutoring career where I have assisted a student with failing grades to attain above satisfactory grades. All it takes is a little bit of time and commitment. Success is definitely attainable if given the right tutor and tools.
